TheWorse MOD 1.0 Released

This is the last release of my modification. I did my best to improve graphics and performance as much as I could without degrading the quality. I'm going on vacation for 2 weeks tomorrow btw.

I hope you guys enjoy the game.

TheWorse 1.0 vs Vanilla Comparisson

This is a screenshot comparisson between my mod 1.0 version and Vanilla. Screenshots were taken at 4k + FXAA, Both vanilla and my mod are using my latest sweetfx preset. Time and position is the same in both vanilla and modded.

0.99v Released.

18/07/2014: 0.99 is available.


Changes and fixes:

-Exposure adjusted for clear day-night.
-FOG reduced and adjusted.
-Implemented new DOF values to ensure a better visibility and gameplay with the mod.
-Lighting adjusted again.
-Light color and spotlight volume color of the helicopter light changed (Mostly for testing).
-New camera values for a better view of aiden and overall.
-LOD values changed and adjusted for better performance-quality.
-Bloom enhanced.
-Many other changes and adjustments.

Download 0.99 version without MalDo Textures


Here is my Sweetfx preset for 0.99 version. If you don't know how to install it find a guide on youtube or google. It's pretty easy, just copy the files to your WatchDogs/Bin folder.

Because it's more a cinematic preset if you don't want the Border thing open the sweetfx settings file, find "border" and change it from 1 to 0.

TheWorse Mod 0.97(c) RELEASED

Changes in 0.97c:


-MalDo textures fix included.
-FOG has been decreased again, this time it should be perfect.
-DOF has been decreased and DOF focus speed has been increased.
-Interior FOG has been increased for a smoother interior-exterior transition.
-Camera angle has been adjusted and Camera movement aswell.
-Minor lighting changes.
-Some rain changes.
-Shadow quality has been adjusted.
-LOD distance, scale and dithering changed.
-Colorgrading saturation, contrast and defog adjusted.

TheWorse Mod 0.97(b) DOWNLOAD

This is the new update for the mod.


What is different in 0.97b?

-Trees has been fully fixed.
-Performance has been increased.
-FOG has been decreased.
-DOF has been decreased
-Reflections resolution has been decreased with no noticiable difference
(this had to be done to increase performance while keeping good quality)

If you already have a patch.dat and patch.fat file just replace them.


Another Update: Physics in this game depend on your fps, so if you have more than 30fps aidens coat and trees will move really fast. Its just a problem of the engine, so you'll have to cap your fps, or keep them around 30-45.
0.97c will include MalDo textures and an even more decreased FOG.

[*]INSTALLATION PROCESS:
-Open the .rar and extract the two files (Patch.dat and Patch.fat) to your "Watch Dogs/data_win64" folder.
-Play the game.


[*]SWEETFX INSTALLATION PROCESS:
-Download the .rar and place the files inside your Watch Dogs/bin folder
(If you have Windows 8.1 this may not work with you. So you may have to find a guide for that)

UPDATE: Some people are experiencing performance issues. I'll take a look at that and make a new version with the fix and also with less fog. Still, don't ask me to make a specific version of the mod, the last time I almost got crazy with so many presets.

All changes for 0.97v

This are the actual changes that WILL be in 0.97

Headlight changes:

 DISCLAIMER: HEADLIGHT SHADOWS FLICKERING COULD HAPPEN DEPENDING ON YOUR GAME PERFORMANCE AND MAYBE IF YOU ARE USING ANY TXAA CONFIGURATION.

-Headlight shadows are now working properly.
-Changed the distance of the actual texture in order to make the overall look more realistic
-Changed the intensity of the light reflection and the overall texture.
-Headlight colors are now properly applied to new and older cars.
-Made a new texture for the lensflares.
-Changed the shadow bias so flickering should be fixed, still read the big disclaimer.

Lighting changes:

The following changes has been specifically made and tested by myself. This will ensure the best quality possible for the game TOD (Time Of Day) Cycle day-night and Weather Clear-Cloudy-Storm.

-Sun light color has been changed for every tod in order to clean up the horrible washed up colors that ubisoft put into the final game.
-SSAO Visibility and strength has been increased for every tod.
-Exposure has been adjusted aswell for every tod. To ensure better colors and visibility.
-White point has been reduced for better white balance.
-Sun light intensity has been adjusted for every tod.
-Sky intensity has been adjusted for every tod.
-Shadows has been adjusted.
-Overall light intensity has been adjusted and/or increased for every tod.
-Headlights and streetlights are now enabled for every tod in storm weather. Due to being now really dark like it should be.
-Increased light probes intensity in order to make night not that dark.
-Other minor changes.

-Intensity has been changed.
-Splashes intensity and size increased.
-Cascades intensity and distance changed.
-Rain streak intensity increased.
-Now it should rain more frequently

The rest of the changes:

-Fog has been changed and increased for storm weather.

-New bloom adapted and changed for every tod and every weather.
-New colorgrading settings to adapt and change the new lighting.
-Added new sky settings for every tod and every weather.
-Civilian density increased to maximum values to ensure its not a ghost town.
-Helicopter and Police volumetric lights intensity increased.
-Aiden's coat movement and wave speed reduced so it doesn't wave like crazy.
-Normal Camera slighly changed.
-DOF intensity and distance slighly changed.

And many other changes and additions. This is almost the final version so I hope everything works correctly and fine. Sorry to dissapoint the trolls and haters.

As it seems on the forums at least i'm the only one who explains and shows real changes. A shame that they choose to lie.
